Okay, so the first post grabbed your attention and you are willing to give it a shot - you are ready to get organized. That is excellent, but slow down a bit. Even though I would always suggest to give everything a wholehearted effort and really put yourself into it, I am going to suggest to start this one a little slow so you can start to see results quickly.
Here are the basics of organization to help lead you to get more things done in the same amount of time we all have in the day: The To-do List
Okay, there is really nothing magic here, and I don’t claim that there is either. Just start small and you will see results.
How does the To-do list work?
- Make a list of things you need to do
- Look at your list when you are ready to do something else or just have some free time
- Check off things when you complete them
- Start over at #1 until the list is empty
Okay, seriously, that is all I can suggest for this one, but really, give it a try and see how it works for you. This can start as a simple sheet of paper that you carry in your pocket or could maybe be a note that you keep on your cell phone so it is always with you as well. If you want to have a more online version of this and you use Gmail, there is a feature for tasks built right into your Gmail account (details from the Official Gmail Blog: http://gmailblog.blogspot.com/2008/12/new-in-labs-tasks.html)
Remember, write down what you have to do, look at your list, and mark it off when you are done.
